Song is a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment and part of the QRF sent to extract AFO team Neptune from the Shahikot Mountains. After the QRF Chinook was shot down Song and Desoto were the lucky few that survived the crash site with no injuries. After partially securing the crash site Patterson ordered Song and Desoto to remain behind and protect the wounded and the medics. They were joined by Ybarra and a wounded Hernandez later on.
