The SOFLAM is a laser designated tool used by Special Operations teams. SOFLAM enables a spotter on the ground to precisely direct bombers, strike fighters, attack helicopters or artillery with an infrared laser. It is featured in Medal of Honor (2010) and Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

The SOFLAM is featured in both the campaign and multiplayer mode.. The SOFLAM is most prominent in marking targets for destruction. The heaviest use of the SOFLAM is during the mission Breaking Bagram, where Rabbit must use the SOFLAM to designate enemy armor and light personnel.
The SOFLAM is also used in other missions for other targets such as enemy emplacements, and vehicles.
The SOFLAM is used in multiplayer to call in Support Actions and marking locations for them. Players can put away the SOFLAM if they choose not to use it.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter

The SOFLAM returns in Medal of Honor: Warfighter. It is featured in both the campaign and multiplayer modes.
Campaign

The SOFLAM, called the LTLM can first be seen used by Stump during Shore Leave. It is used to call in a close air-support airstrike on a nearby sniper nest.
The SOFLAM is used in Changing Tides and Rip Current, used to destroy a building housing several snipers, and to call in a Blackhawk with Stump as the gunner, in their respective placements.
Multiplayer
