MOH:BLOCK
  • Registered users, i.e. those who have made an account, should be given less lenient punishments. Newer users should be given more lenient blocks, due to their inexperience.
  • Cool down blocks are unadvised, but not prohibited
  • Anybody who has a conflict of interest shouldn't block anyone. If somebody needs a block, warn them and then get another, neutral admin to review weather to block or not.

Minor

Minor Infractions:

  • Changing a word to a different, inappropriate one
  • Changing a sentence to different, inappropriate statement
  • Blanking articles
  • Creating Spam articles
  • Minor Personal attacks
  • Copyright violations (dealt with here)
  • Taunting blocked users. This counts as a minor personal attack.

If any of these infractions are committed, a warning should be given (using {{Warning|Article vandalised}}), and then if they re-offend, a 3 day block should be issued. Any time after this, the block will go up to 1 week and then up by 1 week intervals. Copyright violation is taken very seriously, multiple abuse despite warnings may result in a block.

  • Anybody flaming or trolling will be blocked for around 1 day. No warning is typically necessary.

Moderate

Moderate Infractions:

  • Vulgar or Sexual edits to articles
  • Several Personal attacks, or Moderate personal attack
  • Blanking multiple pages within an 24 hour period.
  • Creating vulgar spam articles, or multiple spam articles

In case-by-case issues, a Moderate Infraction can warrant an automatic 2 hour to 10 hour block. These shorter blocks will be more commonly issued to established editors, ones who have been on the site at least 3 days since their first edit. Other users may be issued a 3 day block. Any time after this, the block will go up to 1 week and then up by 1 week intervals.

Major

Major Infractions:

  • Discrimination and discriminative slurs.
  • Sexual statements about another editor or IP
  • Multiple major personal attacks
  • Blanking more than 5 pages in a row
  • Major vandalism to one or more articles
  • Deleting articles without reason (applies to administrators)
  • Sockpuppetry (using more than one account without prior sysop permission, or using two or more accounts in a non-constructive way; IE, vandalising, voting*, flaming, etc)

For these, a 3 day block will be immediately issued from the discovery of the infraction. The block of IPs in this case can be raised to a whole month. If repeated, blocks of up to 1 year may be issued.

*Using multiple accounts to rig votes is unacceptable.

Perma-bans

Permanent bans (also known as permabans) should only ever be used if a user commits numerous major infractions in a small period of time, or if they commit the same major infraction many times over during their time here. Permabans from other wikis should not carry over to this one. The only offense that constitutes an immediate permaban is sockpuppetry, whereby a user's sockpuppet is permabanned, but NOT the user's primary account.
