The Joint Task Force 2 (JTF2) (French: Deuxième Force opérationnelle interarmées) is an elite special operations force of the Canadian Armed Forces primarily tasked with counter-terrorism operations. JTF2, together with the Canadian Special Operations Regiment (CSOR), 427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron (427 SOAS), and the Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit (CJIRU), form the operational elements of the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command.

Much of the information regarding Joint Task Force 2 is classified, and is not commented on by either the Government of Canada or the Department of National Defence.

  • JTF2 Demolition, when reloading from empty using the HK416C, will pull the charging handle instead of hitting the bolt release as most other nation's Demolition class do.
