"Foxhound" was the callsign for a British paratrooper captain of the 6th Airborne Division.
Known only by his callsign and rank, "Foxhound" was a member of the 6th Airborne Division deployed to Normandy as part of Operation Neptune. He and two other British paratroopers, Private Wilson and Private Galloway, met with Sergeant Jack Barnes shortly after they landed. He and his squad were ordered to sabotage enemy equipment, destroy artillery emplacements and kill Waffen S.S. Colonel Hildebrandt. After two of his squadmates were killed during the mission, he and Sergeant Barnes destroyed a bridge that the Germans were using as a supply route.
