Composition B, or Comp B, is an explosive used in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and it's expansion packs, Vanguard and Airborne. In both games the explosive is used to destroy enemy equipment/blockades. Composition B was extremely common in western nations' munitions and was the standard explosive filler from early World War II until the early 1950s, when less sensitive explosives such as Composition H6 began to replace it in many weapons systems.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and expansion packs[]

Composition B is the most common explosive in Allied Assault. Usually the player should find this explosive if it is not given to him. With it the player can destroy different objects from stationary guns to armored vehicles.

Medal of Honor: Infiltrator[]

Composition B is a secondary weapon if the player has chosen the M1 Garand. Like grenades, this is used to detonate static objects to execute objectives. This explosive can also be used to destroy enemy infantry - the player can place explosives in the path of the incoming enemy. It deals damage to the player taking approximately 30 HP.

Medal of Honor: Vanguard[]

Mentioned as the Satchel Charge, the Comp B is planted in the same way as the explosive in Medal of Honor: European Assault, by holding the Action button until the clock begins to tick down. The Comp B in Vanguard uses the same TNT model from European Assault.

Medal of Honor: Airborne[]

The Comp B is used in Infinite Mischief, The Show and Young Fools where they are used to destroy AA guns, ammo depots and Tiger tanks respectively. When the player gets hit while planting the Comp B it will interrupts the action.

Trivia[]

  • Medal of Honor: Infiltrator is the only game where this explosive is used as a weapon.
